Dear friends and colleagues

Now that face-to-face meetings are again possible, it is a pleasure to invite you to our XI Mexican Coral Reef Congress and II Pan-American Coral Reef Congress, which will be held on September 26-30, 2022 in the Veracruz-Boca del Rio conurbation, in the Mexican state of Veracruz.

The 1st Mexican Coral Reef Congress was held in 2000. That first congress was held in the city of Veracruz, to which it now returns after 22 years, after having visited different venues throughout the country.

The Mexican Congress has traditionally been accompanied by colleagues from other countries of the continent, so this time, along with the XI Mexican Coral Reef Congress, the II Panamerican Coral Reef Congress will be held. The forum brings together a large number of people interested in coral reefs, including experienced researchers, young researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as decision makers. On this occasion, in addition to including keynote lectures, oral presentations and poster presentations, it will include the participation of other sectors such as fishing, tourism, nautical and governmental, to learn about their experiences and perspectives; for this purpose there will be a round table with their representatives.

After this period of confinement we will be pleased to receive you in person. Veracruz hospitality is famous for its joy and passion, and this time will be no exception.
We look forward to seeing you.
